Getting Started
Claim It Financials is a youth financial literacy company that provides age-appropriate programs to teach children (ages 3-18) essential money skills. We offer:
- Digital learning kits with workbooks, activities, and parent guides – coming Fall 2026
- Online courses with video lessons and progress tracking – coming 2027
- Classes and workshops for community learning
- School programs for educators and institutions
Our CLAIM framework (Confidence, Learn, Action, Invest, Multiply) helps kids build financial confidence and smart money habits that last a lifetime.
Our programs are designed for:
- Parents who want to teach their kids financial literacy at home (ages 3-18)
- Educators looking for financial education curriculum for their classrooms
- Community organizations (libraries, after-school programs, youth groups) offering financial literacy workshops
- Anyone who believes kids deserve early money education
No teaching or financial expertise is required. Our programs are built for real families and busy educators
Not at all! Claim It Financials is specifically designed for parents and educators with no financial teaching background. Every program includes:
- Step-by-step parent guides that walk you through each activity
- Conversation starters to make money talks natural and easy
- Simple explanations of financial concepts in everyday language
- Pre-planned activities that are ready to use, no prep work required
If you can read a story with your child, you can teach them financial literacy with our programs. We’ve done the hard work so you don’t have to!
We have age-appropriate programs for children ages 3-18:
- Ages 3-5: Money Explorers – Building money confidence through play
- Ages 6-9: Money Masters – Understanding earning, budgeting, and making change
- Ages 10-13: Money Makers – Introduction to entrepreneurship, banking, and investing
- Ages 14-18: Money Multipliers – Preparing for college, first jobs, credit, and advanced financial planning
Each program is designed for where kids are developmentally, with concepts that build on each other over time.
Great question! Our age ranges are developmental guidelines, not strict rules. Here’s how to choose:
- If your child is on the younger end of a range (e.g., just turned 6), start with the younger program to build a strong foundation
- If they’re advanced or have some money knowledge, try the next level up
- For kids right on the border (e.g., age 9), preview both programs and choose based on their current understanding
You know your child best! Each program clearly lists the concepts covered, so you can pick what fits. And remember, you can always start with our free Activity Pack to test different age levels risk-free.
Great question! We know that traditional financial education (like a single high school course) often has limited impact. That’s why we designed Claim It Financials differently:
Traditional approach: Lectures, tests, and theory
Our approach: Hands-on practice with real money, repeated over time
Traditional approach: One semester in high school
Our approach: Starting as young as age 3, building habits during critical developmental windows
Traditional approach: Knowledge-focused (memorize definitions)
Our approach: Action-focused (make decisions, track goals, practice budgeting)
Traditional approach: School-only (leaves out families)
Our approach: Parent-guided (conversations continue at home)
Research shows financial education works best when it’s early, repeated, and applied—that’s exactly what we built.

- Prices are slightly higher due to printing and shipping costs
Check the product page for your child’s age range to see if print options are available.
Our digital programs are PDF files designed to be printed and used with physical materials (coins, piggy banks, real money). Here’s why:
✓ Hands-on learning is more effective than screen-based for young kids
✓ Real money practice builds tangible skills
✓ No screen time required (great for limiting device use)
✓ Flexibility to do activities anywhere (car, kitchen table, outdoors)
That said, you CAN view PDFs on tablets for reference while doing activities together. We just don’t recommend kids completing worksheets on screens. Printing is better for learning!
Yes! We’re constantly developing new programs and expanding our offerings. Current priorities include:
- Seasonal activity packs (holidays, summer, back-to-school)
- Advanced investing modules for teens

Want to be the first to know? Download our free Activity Pack and you’ll receive updates about new programs in your weekly money tips emails!
Yes! Our programs are for household use, which means:

Using the Programs
Our programs are designed to fit into real family life—not require a complete schedule overhaul. Here’s what to expect:
- Individual activities: 10-20 minutes each (perfect for after school, weekends, or family time)
- Full program completion: 4-8 weeks if you do 1-2 activities per week
- Flexibility: Go at your own pace—there’s no “right” timeline
Many families integrate activities into existing routines like morning breakfast talks about needs vs. wants, weekend piggy bank sorting games, or bedtime savings goal tracking.
The key: Consistency matters more than speed. Even 15 minutes a week builds lasting money habits!
For best results: Yes, follow the recommended order. Activities build on each other, with foundational concepts introduced first and more complex skills later.
However: We understand real life happens! If your child is ready for a specific concept (like saving for a goal) but you haven’t finished earlier activities, it’s okay to jump ahead.
Our recommendation: Start with Activity 1 and work sequentially, but don’t stress if you need to skip around occasionally.
Most activities use simple, household items you likely already have:
Common materials needed:
- Coins (pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters)
- Piggy bank or jar
- Paper and pencil/crayons
- Play money (printable templates included)
- Calculator (optional, for older kids)
NOT required:
- Special financial toys or games
- Expensive teaching materials
- Technology or apps
- Anything you can’t find at home
If a specific activity needs something unique, we let you know in advance and provide alternatives!
Our programs are designed for typical development at each age, but every child is different!
If activities are too easy:
- Skip ahead to the next age range
- Add complexity (bigger numbers, more challenging scenarios)
- Move through activities faster
If activities are too hard:
- Drop down to the younger age range
- Break activities into smaller steps
- Spend more time on each concept before moving on
- Simplify numbers or scenarios
Remember: You know your child best! Our programs are flexible guides, not rigid requirements.
Absolutely! Our hands-on, visual approach works well for many different learners. Here’s how to adapt:
For visual learners:
- Use the printable graphics and pictures
- Create visual charts for tracking progress
- Draw pictures to represent money concepts
For kinesthetic learners:
- Emphasize the hands-on activities (coin sorting, counting)
- Use real money as much as possible
- Act out scenarios (store roleplay, etc.)
For children who need more time:
- Go slower! Spend 2-3 weeks on one activity if needed
- Repeat activities multiple times for mastery
- Focus on understanding, not speed
For children with ADHD or attention challenges:
- Do activities in shorter bursts (5-10 minutes)
- Make it a game with rewards
- Use movement and active participation
If you have specific questions about adapting for your child, email us at support@claimitfinancials.com. We’re happy to help!
Every program includes a progress tracker where you can:
- Check off completed activities
- Note areas where your child excelled
- Identify concepts that need more practice
- Celebrate milestones together!
Bonus: Use the tracker as a visual motivator—kids love seeing their progress!
